new year....is this year is new........??

today i am coming back from my work ,in routine i travel by metro,i saw many people here and there,some have smile on their faces n some wid sad....usualy whenever i travel on road i thought that this road is like a video game in which no one can predict what will happen next ,people from all sides are walking huge rush on road,who knows what will happen next...but today this was the last evening of 2009...tomorrow the sun rise with new dates here's the new calender year.
Everyone have some surprising kind of thoughts in minds.how they enter in new year,some want good job,some want good relations some want to rest....but one thing in my mind is this is all due to new year?????.......because in my opinion every day is the new day every sun is the new sun when it rises....so why people are so excited to this night..dates are changed every night,month after thirty or thirty one days and year after 365 days..what you think what is new in this just the changing of year digits in date??
this was happen every year on 31st dececmber and my condition is same as now ,till now i never find the answer will u ????
